Vi Ly’s works on paper are found in permanent collections at The San Jose Museum of Arts, the University of Cincinnati DAAP Print Department and private collections. She received her MFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute and her BFA in drawing/printmaking from the University of Cincinnati. She has exhibited widely in group and solo shows. Vi’s work consists of large scale, abstract, representational paintings and works on paper, as well as small modular paintings.
Vi Ly was born in Saigon, Vietnam and left the country with her family as part of the boat people exodus in 1979.
She and her family settled in Ohio in 1980 under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Charity and the College of Mount St. Joseph. Vi is currently the Dean of Academic Affairs overseeing the Performing and Visual Arts at
Los Angeles City College.
Annicka is an aspiring artist and interior designer by night, and a Project Manager by day. She was born and raised in the state known for its frigid winters and 10,000 lakes--Minnesota. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from St. Cloud State University in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising and minoring in design.
At the age of 24, she moved to Los Angeles and traded in her snow boots for sandals, beaches and sunshine.
Moving to Los Angeles not only motivated Annicka to surpass her limits and grow as an individual, but also
re-awakened her inner artistic abilities.
Amanda Carlin is a Los Angeles-based painter, with a primary career as a theater, film and television actor and audiobook narrator. She has been drawing and painting since childhood; her elective courses throughout high school and college (B.A. in Drama, Tufts University) always included art. Her arts education was informal, piecemeal, cumulative and constant. While in college, she took a class at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as well as an etching class in Nantes, France.
As she began her acting career in NYC and regional theaters, she would take a pottery or figure drawing class between gigs. In recent years, her exploration took her to LA teacher Julio Panisello. He was the key to unlocking her focus and productivity.
